Blinds are forced bets that the two players to the dealer's left must post before any cards are dealt. The small blind is half the big blind, and they rotate clockwise after each hand to keep the game fair.

The flop is the first three community cards the dealer reveals face-up in the centre of the table. All players use these shared cards combined with their two hole cards to make the strongest five-card poker hand.

Your hole cards are the two private cards dealt face-down to you at the start of each Holdem Champions hand. Only you can see them, and you combine them with the community cards to form your final hand.

Going all-in means you bet every chip in your stack on the current hand. If you win, you claim the pot up to the amount you wagered; if you lose, you're out of that round and need to reload your stack.

A side pot forms when one player goes all-in and others continue betting beyond that amount. The all-in player can only win the main pot, while remaining players compete for the side pot with their additional bets.

Checking means you pass the action to the next player without placing a bet. You can only check if no one has bet before you in that betting round; otherwise you must call, raise or fold.
